LectByte ("we", "our", or "us") operates the LectByte mobile learning application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information in compliance with applicable laws and Google Play policies.

Personal Information: Name, Email Address, Mobile Number.
Profile Information: Profile photo (optional).
Educational Data: Course enrollments, purchases, progress tracking, rankings, and test results.
Usage Data: App interactions and learning activity.
Device Information: Operating system type (Android or iOS) and app version for compatibility and performance improvements.
Payment Information: All Android in-app purchases are processed securely through Google Play Billing by Google Play. We do not collect or store debit or credit card details. Limited transaction information such as order ID, product ID, purchase date, and purchase status may be stored for service delivery and legal compliance.

Upon account deletion, personal data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our active systems within 30 days, except where limited retention is required by law. Once deleted, data cannot be restored, recovered, or retrieved under any circumstances.

9. Account Deletion

Users may permanently delete their account:

Through the "Close Account” option available in the app settings.

Deletion requests made through the app are processed immediately or within 24 hours. Email-based requests are processed within 7 business days following identity verification. Once an account is permanently deleted, all associated personal data is irreversibly erased from our systems. Deleted accounts and data cannot be recovered, restored, reactivated, or retrieved under any circumstances.

10. Children's Privacy

LectByte is a general educational platform and is not specifically directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such information is identified, it will be promptly and permanently deleted.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted within the app and on this page with a revised effective date.
