Account Deletion Policy

How to Delete Your Account

• Open the LectByte app → Settings → Close Account → Confirm.
• Or email lectbyte@gmail.com from your registered email address with the subject "Account Deletion Request".

For security purposes, we may verify your identity before processing email-based requests.

What Happens After Deletion

• Your account will be permanently deactivated.
• Your profile information, learning progress, and activity history will be deleted.
• Access to purchased content will be permanently removed.
• Deleted data cannot be restored.

Payments & Purchases

All in-app purchases are securely processed through Google Play Billing. LectByte does not collect or store your payment card details. We may store limited transaction details such as order ID, product ID, purchase status, and purchase date for account management and legal compliance purposes.

Deleting your account does not automatically initiate refunds. Refunds are subject to Google Play’s refund policies.

Data Retention

Upon account deletion, all personal data associated with your account is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days.

Certain records, including transaction or tax-related information, may be retained if required for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or regulatory compliance purposes.

Third-Party Services

Live classes are conducted via Zoom. When joining a live session, your name and meeting participation details may be processed by Zoom in accordance with Zoom’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. LectByte does not control Zoom’s data handling practices.

Processing Time

Account deletion requests made through the app are processed immediately. Email-based deletion requests are processed within 7 business days after verification.
